I’ve worked in the veterinary industry since before I even finished secondary school. I started as a Saturday girl in a local clinic, hoping it would help me earn a place as an animal nursing assistant and eventually progress to student nurse. Luckily for me, that’s exactly what happened.
I completed my training and qualifications at a veterinary hospital in Falmouth, Cornwall, over three years, qualifying in 2009. Since then, I’ve worked as a veterinary nurse in various branch practices across Cornwall, before moving to the Highlands in 2025 with my family and our many pets.
After moving to the Highlands, I set up Highland Home Vet Nurse, offering a district nursing style of veterinary care. I quickly found it was the most enjoyable I had ever found my job. Being able to help people and their pets in the comfort of their own homes, while exploring the Highlands along the way, felt incredibly rewarding. I found that same passion in Home Visit Pet Care and wanted to be able to offer even more much-needed services to local pets and their owners.
I have always loved nurse clinics in practice, especially getting to know clients and their pets properly, helping with routine care, and offering advice and education whenever questions come up during a consultation.
When I’m not out on the road, I’m a busy mum of four humans, four dogs, three cats, a hamster, and Ethel the tortoise. Nothing like keeping busy! We love exploring our new home, walking on the beaches and through the many woodlands with the dogs.
