Locum Vets Wanted in the Highlands

Fancy a change of pace now and then, with some home visit work in one of the most beautiful parts of the country?

Home Visit Pet Care is looking to hear from locum veterinary surgeons in the Highland area who may be interested in working with us on an occasional basis.

Our approach to veterinary care is a little different from the traditional practice environment. Instead of a busy waiting room and a packed consulting list, we take veterinary care directly to pets in their own homes.

For the right vet, it can be a refreshing change of pace.

What kind of work would you be doing?

Our home visit appointments can include:

• Vaccinations and preventative healthcare
• Veterinary consultations in the comfort of the pet’s own home
• End-of-life care, supporting pets and their families at an incredibly important time

Appointments take place in clients' homes across the Highland area, giving you the opportunity to spend time with patients and owners in a calmer, more personal environment.

You won’t be working alone

One of the things that makes our model different is that you'll have a qualified veterinary nurse alongside you.

That means practical support during appointments, help with equipment and patients, and someone familiar with the Home Visit Pet Care way of working.

It is very much a team effort.

A different kind of locum day

Home visiting can be a welcome contrast to a conventional locum shift.

You get out on the road, meet pets in their own environment and see some spectacular Highland scenery along the way.

And, perhaps most importantly...

you have full control of the car radio!
